April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US She is one of a small category of females who have been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian and will join her in Tokyo. More than that though Ross will be aiming for her very first Olympic gold. Since she's 39 years old she could have her last chance. However, she is certain of taking top honors. Ross was reported by NBC Boston as saying that if you play your top, even if you do well, we'll get the gold. Then I will also take some chance. Ross was a Californian born in Costa Mesa in 1982. She lived here with her mother, father and sibling. At Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of different sports. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball, as well as basketball, running and track. She stood out however during this game. In her college profile, she was an outside-hitting hitter middle blocker, and setter during her volleyball career at high school. The award was presented to her as one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999, for her performance. Also, she won the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Ross and Klineman formed their relationship in 2017 However, Ross had been a beach-scene player for years prior to. She actually won numerous major events using two partners, one of which is the volleyball legend. For six years from 2007 until 2013, she was a team alongside Jennifer Kessy who more recently served as her and Klineman's coach. Kessy's teammate Ross, who took home the title of world champion together with Kessy in 2009 was also an important player on the world stage. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they received the gold medal. They were defeated for the gold by the legendary team of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). Ross Jennings replaced May-Treanor after she had retired. Together, they won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross participated in the Trojans at USC during her college after graduating from the high school she attended. Ross's Trojans experience was remarkable. In 2000 she was voted Pac-10 Freshman and NCAA Freshman Of The Year and an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to make it to the Final Four. After her sophomore year she suffered a devastating personal loss, yet managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. In her last two seasons with the Trojans in the program they won victory by winning consecutive national championships. In 2003-2004, she was named the top female volleyball player at a collegiate level in America according to The Honda Sports Award. Ross majored at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross never saw her daughter make it to the top of the beach volleyball ladder. Ross's mother passed away from breast carcinoma in the year 2001. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. She continues to cherish her mother who died. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her both at and off the beaches.
